My wonderful mother-in-law, Joyce, got me this beautiful painting a few years ago.
I LOVE it!
Our family has had plenty of debates asking whether this is supposed to be the the man's daughter that he's teaching to shoot,
or his wife.
Asking if it's a sunset, or a sunrise, and so on..
It really doesn't make a difference,
we just happily stare at it each morning during breakfast
and believe what we want.
Sometimes it even changes.

| Target Practice - Tom Lovell |
After looking at photos from this past summer, I couldn't help but notice some of the similarities between them and the painting.
We had a lot of teaching and practicing with Dad/Husband ourselves.
Bert put together several Top Shot episodes where we were the stars,
loosely following the show of Top Shot's format.
(We're big fans - especially Season 5 - Thank you for such great entertainment Greg!)
They included events such as: cherry pit spitting, rifle, pistol, shotgun, bow and arrow, slingshot, water balloon, BB gun, and whatever else we could find to use as a projectile.
And, each event had to be done in a different position:
standing, sitting, drive by, quick draw, on a slack line, etc...
The competition spanned a couple of weeks, but if you stacked them all up,
nobody consistently came out the winner.
Even Hy had his moment to shine.
So, whether it's the dad, or the husband, in the picture above-
he gave them one great memory!
