So, the other day Cache was practicing 'Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star' on the violin (the first piece Suzuki makes every student master.) I was reminded of Suzuki. And then my mind jumped to his book. And from there another leap was made to that particular story he retells of Amala and Kamala.
Taken from the journal of the Reverend Singh, rector of the orphanage who rescued the girls:
"They would not allow themselves to be dressed, scratched and bit people who tried to feed them, rejected cooked food and walked on all fours. Both girls had developed thick calluses on their palms and knees from having walked on all fours. The girls were mostly nocturnal, had an aversion to sunshine, and could see very well in the dark. They also exhibited an acute sense of smell and an enhanced ability to hear. The girls enjoyed the taste of raw meat and would eat out of a bowl on the ground. They seemed to be insensitive to cold and heat and appeared to show no human emotions of any kind, apart from fear. At night they would howl like wolves, calling out to their "family". They did not speak."
And suddenly the congruency, the word for word description, hit me light a bolt from Zeus...
Pretty frightening picture isn't it.Please excuse the repetition of some photos.
Hydn was obsessed.
Some parents may have problems with their little boys wanting to wear the same shirt every day.
Some parents may have problems with their little boys going naked.
Some parents may have problems with their little boys acting out or portraying super heroes.
Some parents have problems with a little boy who is species confused, whose favorite TID (thrice daily) snack is dog food. -I've contemplated buying the 'fresh breath' brand, as 'Ole Ruff' has the same devastating results on humans as it does our loyal friends. But I digress.-
Parents of wanna be spiderman's, take heart. Your child could be coming home with a new batch of fleas, every. single. night.
