IF you were blood,

IF you were blood,
and IF this were your heart...You'd be pumped from somewhere in your body back to the Right Atrium:Through the Right Atrium to the Right Ventricle;
where you would pass the valve that makes one of the 'dum's' in the "dum-dum" beat (Big Pot):
From there you would travel through the Pulmonary valve to the lung (suitably placed outside), where you would be filled with fresh oxygen and turn red (probably from the frigid temperature):
From there you would travel to the Left Atrium and Ventricle (passing the second valve/ "dum") and be shot out through the Aorta.
And although when you passed through, and you worried that your heart sounded frighteningly arrhythmic, you would find that for the most part your heart was basically sound. ...basically.

But we're not going to quibble over the finer points. Because it's not like any of us plan on becoming heart surgeons.

I think we're more likely to work for Hasbro. I'm not sure what new game they made up this morning, but I tried to listen to the rules as we ate breakfast. Something about: your army man aiming in the right direction, the dice are your tanks (rolling them tells you how many spaces and shots they can fire - or something), and how you cross over a fallen soldier. And if that doesn't pan out, maybe park ranger, or Fish and Game agent. Because look what they found this morning on our property-
Beaver marks!
It was pretty cool.
So cool that we had to post a lot of pictures that only we could love-

The Beavers make it look so easy and the wood so soft.

So easy and soft, that it was impossible not to try it ourselves.
Can you get rabies from trying to chomp on the same saliva covered post as a beaver?
What about if it was dried saliva?
See? That would be something a good forest ranger would know.
And right now a forest ranger would be way more usable to us than a heart surgeon.
Notes from the field:
Comparing your teeth to a beaver is not recommend
a- if you wear braces,
b- if you can't eat any steak but Filet Mignon.
c- if you already have the nick name 'Bucky'
