A few weeks back Pal cut various individual letters out of the newspaper to make a ransom note. The final product said:
"THIS IS A RANSOM NOTE. BRING ME A DOLLAR AND YOU WILL GET YOUR LION BACK!"
Later I picked him up from a friends house - and hidden under his coat was a stuffed lion.
"You used the note then? It wasn't just for fun? And he actually had a stuffed lion?"
"Yup! It's his favorite. The note is now resting on his pillow."
"Oh Pal, you're awesome, you know that?"
"Yup! ...But you know the problem with being so awesome?"
"No, actually I don't. What's that?"
"When you use up all the awesomeness, there's nobody left to do awesome things back to you. ...*sigh....
And that kinda stinks."
