Mr. Obama - despite you, free enterprise is alive and well.

Jesse has talent. A lot. She'll pull things out of her head that the rest of us can't even begin to imagine. She usually draws something on paper,

But occasionally, she'll surprise me by using a more unusual medium. (A fun surprise coming home from the grocery store a few years ago.)

The other day she was helping entertain Hy with sidewalk chalk.
And this was just one of her doodles.

Jesse's missed her loyal babysitting clientele since we've moved here.

And this got Bert to thinking....
if she can do this on floors, why not windows?
We googled 'seasonal window art', and Jesse devoured the articles.
We got out the supplies...

And today Jesse begins practice on our 20+ windows.
She's trying to see what cleans the easiest.
What stays on the longest.
Which paint withstands the rain.
And how long a simple design vs. a more complicated design takes.
She's making fliers, setting her price,
hiring younger siblings to help clean up after wards, and all in all-
having a ball.
She doesn't even realize her school has started a month early.
It's called business 101

Grandpa Hoops would be so proud.
